Hollywood star John Travolta was the center of attention at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving a special honorary Palme d'Or award.
The festival's organizing committee issued an official statement: 'Tonight, John Travolta, awarded the honorary Palme d'Or, has once again etched his name in history in golden letters.'
The Hollywood legend attended Cannes to present his directorial debut, 'Pere: One-Way Night Flight.'
The 79th Cannes Film Festival opened on May 12 and runs until May 23, with over 20 films competing for the main prize.
