The Dutch government has approved two concerts by American rapper Kanye West, known as 'Ye'. The shows are scheduled for June 6 and 8 at the GelreDome stadium in Arnhem.
The permit was granted by the city's mayor, Ahmed Marcouch. However, he condemned the musician's antisemitic statements, calling them unacceptable.
Despite the approval, the concerts are not guaranteed. A majority of parliament's lower house supported an initiative against the artist's visit, backed by the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy and the Christian Union.
Kanye West's European tour has already faced difficulties: his performances in Poland and Switzerland were canceled, and several EU countries have opposed his visit due to his past statements.
