British actor David Burke, known for playing Dr. Watson in the famous series "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", has died at the age of 92.
According to Oxu.Az, citing The Sun, the news was confirmed by the actor's agent. The cause of death was not disclosed.
David Burke was born in Liverpool in 1934. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1960 and performed at the Old Vic in Bristol and the Royal Lyceum Theatre.
He began his film and television career in the early 1960s, appearing in various projects.
His greatest fame came from playing Dr. Watson in "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" in 1984, as well as in the BBC television adaptation.
