Nick Rayner, who is accused of murdering his parents, has filed a lawsuit demanding access to their inheritance trust.
According to Oxu.Az, he seeks permission to withdraw money from the family trust fund to cover his legal fees.
The 32-year-old suspect faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, in the deaths of Hollywood director Rob Rayner and his wife Michelle Singer Rayner. He could face the death penalty.
The incident occurred last December, and the couple's bodies were found in their home. Investigators claim Nick Rayner stabbed his parents during a family dispute. He denies the allegations.
The family inheritance was placed in a trust fund with scheduled payments for children. Nick Rayner claims his access is currently blocked and demands release of funds for his defense.
