The H.Z. Tagiyev-Sahil highway is in poor condition. Particularly, the section from Gizildash to Mushfigabad has completely deteriorated.
The lack of lighting on the R6 highway increases accident risk at night. The 42 km road, which was overhauled in 2014, has not been repaired for 12 years.
One driver expressed frustration: "After just two trips, we have to replace the disc, airbags, and rubber parts. This is a busy road and must be repaired."
The State Agency for Highways of Azerbaijan stated that the road condition is monitored and recent maintenance has been carried out. Proposals for major repairs will be prepared in the future.
