AIIB allocates $180M for Baku Metro expansion. 10 new stations to be built.

$180M Allocated for Baku Metro Expansion

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has allocated $180 million for the expansion of the Baku Metro. The funds will be used to build 10 new stations.

Shahin Babayev, Executive Director of AZCON Holding, stated that an agreement was signed with international financial institutions. The project is part of the 2025-2030 State Program.

The new stations will improve transport infrastructure in the capital. ADB and the World Bank are also involved.
