The "Smart Nursery Center" established in the Jabrayil district will significantly contribute to forest restoration in the region. The project plans to grow up to 2 million tree saplings annually.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Rashad Ismayilov stated in an interview with Trend that the Forest Development Service began installing large greenhouses starting from the end of 2024. So far, 5 large greenhouse complexes have been installed, currently producing approximately 1 million saplings per year.
The center will employ modern methods for sapling cultivation and also serve as a regional training hub. The goal is to grow 2 million saplings annually, aiding reforestation in liberated territories. The minister also noted that other alternative projects are in the initial stages.
