A 2800-year-old Urartu cuneiform inscription has been discovered in Azerbaijan.
Scientists from ANAS Nakhchivan branch found the rock inscription from the 8th century BC on Ilandag mountain.
The text glorifies Urartian kings Ishpuini and Menua. It was first found in the 1980s but its exact location was unknown.
This discovery sheds light on the ancient history of Nakhchivan.
