In 2025, 15,144 people were diagnosed with malignant tumors for the first time in Azerbaijan.
The State Statistics Committee responded to Modern.az inquiry, stating that 6,787 of the patients were men, and 8,357 were women.
The most common cancer types: breast cancer (2,928), stomach cancer (1,392), and trachea, bronchus, and lung cancer (1,480).
In total, 74,004 cancer patients are registered in medical institutions.
