The problem of undocumented houses is back in the spotlight. MP Kamal Jafarov has proposed an amnesty for these houses in the Milli Majlis.
According to official data, there are more than 500,000 undocumented houses in the country. The lack of legal status deprives citizens of fundamental property rights such as registration, utility services, inheritance, and sale.
As a result, the market value of properties decreases by 20-30%, banks do not accept them as collateral, and these properties cannot be converted into capital for economic activity.
To solve the problem, reference is made to Turkey's 2018 "Zoning Peace" program, which covered 7 million houses, and the implementation of a similar state program in our country is proposed.
