A 77-year-old Azerbaijani, Yelmar Aliyev, was killed by a Russian drone attack in Ukraine's Sumy region.

The incident occurred in the Velika Pisarevka district, near the Russian border. He was struck by a drone-dropped grenade while driving his car.

Aliyev died instantly. He was a citizen of Ukraine, originally from Beylagan district. His body has been sent to Azerbaijan for burial.
