The 9th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival took place in Baku.

Oxu.Az reports that this was announced in a video by Baku TV.

Festival Executive Director Sarkhan Najiyev spoke about the importance and program of the event, highlighting the festival's directions:

"Overall, the ANIMAFILM festival has been held since 2018. We are organizing the first international animation film festival in Azerbaijan, and this is already our ninth year. The program includes screenings, workshops, master classes, and various other events. For the last two years, we have also been holding pitching competitions within the festival. This is a great opportunity for local animators; they can present their projects and win a budget for implementation."
