Absheron field Stage 2 design completed

Design work for the second stage of the Absheron gas-condensate field is complete. TotalEnergies head Emmanuel de Guillebon revealed details at the Baku Energy Forum.

The design work for the second stage of the Absheron gas-condensate field has been completed.

According to Oxu.Az, this was stated by Emmanuel de Guillebon, head of TotalEnergies in Azerbaijan, during a panel session titled "Upstream - New Perspectives" at the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

He said that the implementation phase will begin in 2026: "A tender is currently underway. The relevant procedure has been initiated. Also, production from the Absheron field, which was brought online two years ago, has yielded expected results. In the second stage, three new wells will be drilled with a daily production capacity of 40,000 barrels of oil."
