The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Intelligent Transport Management Center has appealed to drivers.
According to the center, most accidents in the capital resulting in material damage occur due to driver inattention. Especially using mobile phones behind the wheel increases the risk of accidents.
The center states that a driver using a phone while driving cannot timely see obstacles at a red light, in traffic jams, or during technical failures. This leads to deaths, injuries, or material damage.
The Ministry calls on all drivers to be careful and responsible on the roads.
