Artesian and subartesian wells are considered underground water sources. Entrepreneurs wishing to use such wells must apply for a permit.
This was reported to Oxu.Az by the State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) under the State Service for Water Use and Protection.
It was noted that the rules stem from the Water Code: "Fees per cubic meter of water are very modest. The goal is not to increase financial burden but to ensure accounting and reporting."
The agency added that this regulation will clarify the circle of users, promote water conservation, and ensure fair distribution. It will also help prevent illegal use and pollution.
