Haris Piplas, Director of Integrated Urban Solutions in Switzerland, stated that the urban planning practice created in Aghali village can be utilized.
According to Oxu.Az, Piplas spoke at the event "Urban Transformation in Practice: Urban Experiences for Safe and Sustainable Communities" held at the Azerbaijan pavilion within the framework of WUF13.
He noted that there are various political theories about urban and rural life in Europe, but different practices exist in different regions.
"The conditions created in Aghali village are very good. It is both a city and a village. A housing model similar to suburban living has been established, but small-scale agricultural activity is also provided for each house and residential unit. These experiences can be utilized," Piplas added.
