Large-scale work has begun towards the realization of the Zangezur corridor.
Oxu.Az reports that this was stated by Vahid Hajiyev, special representative of the President of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts of the East Zangezur economic region, during an event titled "Revival and urbicide: Sustainable urban development and resilient communities" at the Azerbaijan pavilion within the framework of WUF13.
He noted that the Horadiz-Aghband highway is already complete, and the railway construction is nearing completion:
"The Aghband bridge over the Araz River, which connects Azerbaijan with Iran, is also nearing completion and will be an important element of regional transport and logistics integration."
