AI spreads disinformation, says official

Official says AI used to spread disinformation, poses legal risks.

Aydin Verdiyev, head of the Cybersecurity Department of the Prosecutor General's Office, stated that artificial intelligence is being used to spread disinformation.

According to Oxu.Az, he spoke during a live broadcast on the institution's Instagram page.

Verdiyev noted that AI technologies create legal risks: automated phishing campaigns and disinformation dissemination are observed.

He added that cybercriminals use these technologies, but AI-powered countermeasures are also effective.
