On May 26, General-Colonel Ali Naghiyev, Chief of the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan, participated in the 58th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Services of CIS member states in Irkutsk, Russia.
The meeting adopted important decisions to strengthen regional security. Results of anti-terror measures from previous years were analyzed and concrete steps were outlined.
Council members agreed on new cooperation formats to combat transnational terrorism and religious radicalism. A conceptual document on the use of artificial intelligence in security agencies was also approved.
In his speech, Naghiyev addressed threats to international stability, transport security, new manifestations of terrorism, and Azerbaijan's efforts. He emphasized the importance of information exchange and mutual cooperation.
Documents aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation in security were signed during the meeting.
