Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture and national coordinator of WUF13, stated that the Cabinet of Ministers will discuss goals for the next 10 years.
According to Oxu.Az, these remarks were made at a ministerial meeting on the New Urban Agenda, chaired by Azerbaijan during WUF13.
Guliyev noted that cities worldwide face housing shortages, making international cooperation essential.
He emphasized the need to review achievements under the agenda adopted in 2016 and discuss targets for the next decade.
“Housing is directly linked to education and healthcare. Urban populations have grown, creating new challenges. The Cabinet meeting is one of the most important global dialogue events. We will define our goals for the coming decades, and this session prepares for the upcoming UN meeting next month.”
