The animal market in Mammadli village, Absheron district, has resumed operations after reconstruction and modernization to meet biosafety and modern standards.
According to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), disinfectant barriers have been installed at the entrance, and special isolation units have been built for animals showing signs of disease.
The area has been asphalted, ramps and canopies installed for the safe movement of animals, and a veterinary control point has been established. The assessment confirmed that necessary conditions for biosafety and state veterinary control have been created.
Previously, animal markets in 12 other districts, including Barda, Goygol, Salyan, and others, have been restored.
