Blood donation campaigns are being organized at various locations in Azerbaijan on the occasion of Ashura.
According to Oxu.Az, Ashura is observed on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
The main goal of the blood donation campaign is to eliminate misconceptions about Ashura, correctly explain the essence of this day, promote religious ceremonies based on values of kindness, cooperation, and humanity, while also strengthening social responsibility.
The collected blood will be used to treat people suffering from hemophilia, thalassemia, and other diseases.
