Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is expanding its route network by launching direct regular flights to Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
According to Oxu.Az, AZAL announced this information.
It was stated that tickets for the new destination are already on sale.
The first flight to Brussels will take place on May 8, 2027. Flights on the Baku-Brussels-Baku route will operate 4 times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The new route will further contribute to the development of business, tourism, and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Belgium, and also provide passengers with a direct and convenient travel option to one of Europe's leading political, economic, and transportation centers.
Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is home to the headquarters of the European Union and NATO, making it a significant city for global diplomacy and international business. Additionally, the city is considered one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations, with its rich historical and cultural heritage, famous Grand-Place square, Atomium complex, museums, gastronomy, and unique atmosphere.
Brussels is also one of Europe's main transportation hubs. From here, you can easily reach Amsterdam in about two hours, as well as Luxembourg, Cologne, and other cities.
