Azerbaijan and Iran Agree on Aras River Water

Azerbaijan and Iran have reached an agreement on sharing the water resources of the Aras River, approving working regimes during a joint commission meeting.

Azerbaijan and Iran Agree on Aras River Water

Azerbaijan and Iran have approved working regimes for sharing water resources of the Aras River.

According to Oxu.Az, the State Water Resources Agency released a statement.

The agreement was reached during the 55th meeting of the Joint Commission on June 8-11.

The meeting was held in Iran, co-chaired by Zakir Guliyev and Fariba Averidan.

Discussions included water monitoring, quality control, and installation of new gauges.

A final protocol was signed outlining future cooperation.
