Azerbaijan's population continues to grow. According to the State Statistics Committee, as of May 1, 2026, the population reached 10,270,338.
This is an increase of 7,987 people or 0.1 percent compared to the previous period.
Of the total population, 54.3 percent live in urban areas, 45.7 percent in rural areas. Gender distribution shows 49.8 percent men and 50.2 percent women.
