Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, stated that platforms unable to protect children are not a suitable environment.
She spoke during a discussion at the Milli Majlis on proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and relevant laws.
Muradova noted that the influence of global platforms extends beyond national legal systems. The State Committee held discussions with the "Roblox" platform and conveyed a key message: child safety must override commercial interests.
"If a platform cannot protect minors, it is not a suitable environment for children. We cannot passively watch this," she emphasized.
She added that the document under discussion would strengthen child protection, increase family responsibility, and make Azerbaijan's digital future more sustainable.
