Within the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku, a conference titled "Peace-responsive climate action through urban solutions in conflict and fragile settings" is being held.

The conference is organized by the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, UN-Habitat, the Climate and Peace Action Hub, and the International Organization for Migration.

Discussions focus on enhancing urban resilience to climate change, building sustainable settlement models in conflict-affected areas, and linking peace and climate action with urban development.

Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Elshad Isgandarov, will present on the "Baku Hub" initiative and opportunities for cooperation on climate-peace-urban linkages.

Topics include post-conflict reconstruction, smart and sustainable settlement solutions for safe return, climate-resilient urban infrastructure, and expanding international partnerships. The event will also feature the award ceremony of the International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition.
