Baku Metro Expansion: $180 Million Loan Approved

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has approved a $180 million loan for the Baku Metro expansion project, covering depot construction and station modernization over 20 years.

A $180 million loan agreement has been signed for the expansion of Baku Metro.

Finance Minister Sahil Babayev and AIIB representatives signed the document, which will fund the construction of Darnagul and Khojasan electric depots and the modernization of 10 stations.

The project spans 20 years and aims to reduce carbon emissions.
