Baku-Nakhchivan flight returns due to lightning

An Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight J2-295 from Baku to Nakhchivan returned to Baku due to lightning storms. The aircraft landed safely at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 21:09.

According to Oxu.Az, AZAL's press service reported that flight J2-2257 was also delayed due to adverse weather. Passengers will be informed of any changes.

Unstable weather in Nakhchivan has recently affected flight schedules. Mountainous terrain and rapidly changing meteorological conditions require operational decisions to ensure flight safety.
