Starting tomorrow, temporary special traffic lanes will be enforced in Baku due to the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
According to the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, road signs indicating "Lane for public transport vehicles" have been installed in the designated areas.
From May 15, these lanes become active. The special lanes cover Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Airport Highway, and streets named after Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanov, Yusif Safarov, Mehdi Abbasov, Mikayil Aliyev, and Mikayil Mushfig.
By law, these lanes have the status of bus lanes, and drivers violating the rules will be fined. After the event, the signs will be removed, and all vehicles can use the lanes again.
