On May 17, Baku will host the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), one of the world's most prestigious urban development platforms.
According to Oxu.Az citing PhotoStock.Az, the forum, jointly organized by the UN-Habitat and the Government of Azerbaijan, will run until May 22.
Dedicated to the theme "Homes for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Settlements," the session will address global issues related to the future of cities, sustainable development, climate challenges, and human well-being.
Preparations in the capital are in the final stages. Special traffic lanes have been allocated on main streets and avenues, and directional signs have been installed. The WUF13 atmosphere felt across Baku shows the city is fully ready for the international event.
