The World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held in Baku and marked a historic milestone. It brought together over 57,000 participants from 176 countries, making it the largest session in the forum's history.
At the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, the first Leaders' Summit was organized. 27 heads of state and high-level representatives participated.
The Ministerial Meeting included representatives from nearly 70 countries. The Chair's Summary document praised Azerbaijan's leadership and post-conflict reconstruction efforts.
Leyla Aliyeva initiated a high-level forum on air quality and green infrastructure. The Baku Call to Action was adopted.
The Baku City Award was established. Azerbaijan presented a new management model for hosting international events.
