The number of births in Azerbaijan has been announced. According to the State Statistics Committee, 20,362 babies were registered in the first three months of 2025. This is a decrease compared to the same period last year.
The birth rate per 1,000 people dropped from 8.8 to 8. Among newborns, 53.8% were boys and 46.2% were girls. Of the registered babies, 698 were twins and 27 were triplets.
