Safar Ismailov, who was dismissed last month as head of the "Road Protection Service" under the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA), has received a new appointment.
According to Oxu.Az citing Qafqazinfo, Ismailov was given a position at the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
He has been appointed head of department at the Construction Safety Control Department of MES.
It should be noted that Ismailov led the "Road Protection Service" for 20 years.
Recently, the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General launched an investigation into the said agency. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 311 (bribery) of the Criminal Code regarding the identified violations. Responsible persons of the department have been interrogated.
