There is confusion among citizens about where smoking is allowed in Azerbaijan. Many wonder if they can smoke in parks and open areas.

The Law "On Restriction of Tobacco Use" clearly defines places where smoking is prohibited.

Prohibited places include: educational and medical institutions, children's playgrounds, public catering establishments, vehicles, elevators, etc.

However, the law does not ban smoking in open areas, including parks. But it is recommended not to disturb others.

Special smoking areas may also be designated. Violators face a fine of 30 manats.
