A severe traffic accident occurred in Lankaran. A VAZ-2106 car crashed into a tree, killing the driver on the spot.

The incident happened on the old Alat-Astara highway near Liman town.

The driver, Elshad Salayev, born in 1962, from Zovla village, lost control and hit a tree. He died instantly.

Initial reports suggest a heart attack caused the crash. The exact cause will be determined by an expert examination. An investigation is ongoing.
