Starting June 21, the rules for calculating car insurance premiums are changing. New rules will apply a insurance history coefficient.
According to Oxu.Az citing Khazar TV, not only the car owner's but also the insurance history of persons with a power of attorney will be considered.
Under the Central Bank's amendment, if more than one person is authorized to drive the vehicle, the insurance history coefficient of the person with the highest risk will be applied.
Expert Vusal Badalov said that the insurance premium will be calculated according to the coefficient of the person with the highest risk.
Previously, drivers could avoid high payments by issuing a power of attorney, but new rules will prevent this.
The expert noted that these changes will positively impact the development of insurance services.
