The decline in the water level of the Caspian Sea has become a serious problem.

This statement was made by Aghakarim Samadzada, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, at an event held within the framework of the World Urban Forum.

He emphasized that the world is facing climate change: This affects the lives of millions of people. Steps must be taken in this regard. We are implementing various projects. The creation of smart villages and cities in the liberated territories is a strategic program. Waste management in urban areas is at the main stages of the transition to green energy. Our country attaches importance to international relations in the fight against climate change. Problems in the Caspian basin necessitate joint cooperation of the region's countries. Our activities on the adaptation of urban areas to these changes and adaptation to climate change will continue.
