The procedure and conditions for conducting probation in customs authorities have been approved.

According to Oxu.Az, a relevant decision has been signed.

Who is exempt from probation?

According to the decision, the following persons are exempt from the probation period:

  • Those appointed to leadership positions in customs authorities
  • Civil servants or former civil servants with relevant qualification degrees
  • Persons with academic degrees

These individuals will be directly appointed to permanent service.

How long is the probation period?

The probation period is up to six months, depending on the position and preparation level. During this period, no special rank is granted, and only the position salary is paid.

How is the evaluation conducted?

Evaluation is carried out by a mentor and the Academy of the State Customs Committee. Tasks are assessed on a 5-point scale:

  • 5 (excellent) - tasks performed ahead of time with high quality
  • 4 (good) - tasks performed on time and at required level
  • 3 (satisfactory) - tasks not fully completed, need for improvement
  • 2 (unsatisfactory) - tasks not performed

The average score of 3 or higher is considered acceptable. Ethical behavior and discipline are also evaluated.

Those dissatisfied with the results can appeal through administrative or judicial channels.
