A decision has been made to demolish the dangerous bridge located at the 55th km of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh-Georgia highway.

The Azerbaijan State Road Agency is taking measures for the design of a new bridge and traffic management.

For safety reasons, traffic towards Baku is completely restricted, with vehicles redirected to an alternative route.

The three-span bridge, built in the 1980s, had its third span collapse and is considered unusable.
