In Baku's Khatai district, Ahmadli settlement, some drivers on Sarayevo Street allegedly hid their license plates to avoid fines.
Images shared on social media show cars parked illegally near a bus stop and pedestrian crossing, with drivers lifting the trunk lid to cover the plates from surveillance cameras.
It was reported that the cars remained in the area for hours, while drivers stayed in nearby buildings or gathered on the sidewalk chatting.
In a statement to Oxu.Az, the head of the Baku City State Traffic Police Department, police major Togrul Nasirli, said appropriate measures were taken: "Drivers who violated parking and stopping rules by parking within 15 meters of a public transport stop were dealt with according to law."
