A citizen who left his job a year ago is receiving fines for a car he used to drive. Because of this, he lost his driving license.

Oxu.Az reports, citing "Khazar" TV, that driver Iftikhar Jafarov, living in Khirdalan, Absheron district, claims that although he left the taxi company a year ago, the power of attorney and driving data in his name were not deleted from the system. As a result, fines for various traffic violations were registered in his name.

The driver states that his driving license was restricted for 6 months due to fines for a car driven by someone else.

The Main State Traffic Police Department stated that in the Central Information System, this person appears as the last person with a power of attorney. According to current legislation, the electronic protocol is drawn up against the last person to whom the power of attorney was issued. To change the electronic protocol issued in his name, that person must apply together with the actual driver of the car. In this case, a corresponding change can be made in the Central Information System.
