On the night of June 5, drone attacks were carried out on the cargo ships "Natra" and "Zirkon" in the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov. There were 25 Azerbaijani citizens on board.
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that 5 people were killed and 3 were injured. The wounded were taken to Yeysk city hospital.
The Ministry is taking necessary measures regarding the incident. Embassy staff have left for the scene. Efforts are underway for the return of citizens and provision of consular support.
The Ministry expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
