The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMI) has appealed to the public regarding the expected windy and unstable weather in some areas.
According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, strong winds, heavy rain, flash floods in mountain rivers, and lightning are forecasted in the coming days.
EMI reminds safety rules: during strong winds, stay away from light structures, billboards, power poles, and tall trees. Strictly follow fire safety rules in windy conditions. Small vessel operators should not go to sea.
Heavy rains may cause floods and mudflows. Avoid dangerous areas; if caught, immediately move to higher ground.
To protect from lightning, disconnect electrical devices, avoid using phones (landline, mobile, payphone), stay away from power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas. Do not take shelter under tall trees; choose a low-lying area. If in a car, stop and wait with windows closed.
