Experts from the World Health Organization have long warned that consumption of energy drinks by children and adolescents causes serious health damage. Recent studies show that these drinks contribute to behavioral problems and increased violence in schools.
The Azerbaijani Ombudsman stated that the use of energy drinks by minors in public places and near educational institutions has become systematic. It was noted that age restrictions are not sufficiently enforced during sales.
Doctors and psychologists report that energy drinks disrupt sleep, lower academic performance, and negatively affect the cardiovascular system. Experts demand restrictions on advertising and a ban on sales to children.
