Nurlana Aliyeva, former rector of Baku Slavic University and ex-chairwoman of the New Azerbaijan Party Women's Council, passed away this morning.

She had been suffering from health issues recently.

Aliyeva led Baku Slavic University for many years and was active in public and political life.
