A new mechanism for efficient use of farmlands will be implemented in Azerbaijan. The land consolidation process is being discussed in the Milli Majlis.
Consolidation of agricultural land involves merging, dividing, and redefining boundaries with owners' consent, based on equivalent market value. It also includes improving infrastructure like irrigation and roads.
A consolidation project will define new boundaries. If the new plot's value is lower, the owner will receive compensation.
