A fatal traffic accident occurred in Khachmaz district.
The incident took place around 9:00 PM on May 11 at the 22nd km of the Gendob-Yalama highway, near the village of Janakhir.
Mubariz Tahirov, born in 1991, a resident of Gubugyragy village, was driving a VAZ-2110 when he struck a pedestrian, Tarlan Mammadov, born in 1966, also from the same village, who was crossing the road.
As a result, T. Mammadov died at the scene from his injuries.
An investigation is underway.
