The Caucasus Muslim Office (CMO) has issued a fatwa regarding Eid al-Adha.

The fatwa states that sacrificing an animal is obligatory only for pilgrims performing Hajj in Mecca. Elsewhere, it is a Sunnah for those who can afford it.

The holiday falls on May 27, 2026. Sacrifices can be made from May 27 for three days.
