Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) and AzInTelecom have jointly launched the first face payment system in the country's railway sector.
The new 'SİMA Pay' system became operational on May 15, 2026.
Initially, the service is available at Baku Railway Station, Sumgait Railway Station, and Koroglu stop. Later, it will be expanded to the Absheron circular route and the entire railway network.
Passengers can use the 'Pass with Face Recognition' section in the ADY Mobile app to access the system without physical cards or devices.
This innovation enhances security, eliminates card loss concerns, and provides a seamless travel experience.
